To make this blog a bit more personal, I decided to provide some of my background infromation.
My name is Tomáš Pavelka and I was born on 5th February 1992 in Brandýs nad Labem-Stará Boleslav, Czech Republic. I started playing go quite late when I was about 16 years old. My first game, as far as I can remember, started with A1, because Wikipedia advised to play in the corner first... Well, that is quite long time ago.
It is notable that I had been playing chess since I was very young, about 5 years old or so. My Granddad was a great teacher. Go was an alien for me in the beginning. In chess, you usually have two or three good moves to play. This was different, Nothing seemed to be good.
After a year and something of active playing, I decided to start my own blog about go. I will be posting some ideas, game positions, reviews and tsumego for you, and for me, too.
If you feel like asking any questions (not too personal please...), you can send me an e-mail or find me playing on KGS (eridor, 5k).
Have fun and onegaishimasu!
Tomáš Pavelka
